The Army’s General Staff says aircraft and drones, believed to belong to Sudanese forces or their supporters, carried out airstrikes on Thursday, August 20, more than 100 kilometres inside Chadian territory.
The strikes reportedly targeted a column of vehicles near the border with Sudan.
The National Assembly condemned the incident as a violation of Chad’s territorial integrity and called on the parties to Sudan’s conflict to respect the border and pursue dialogue.
The parliament also urged the population to remain vigilant and maintain national unity.
