President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno held two meetings in Abu Dhabi ahead of the “Chad Connection 2030”financing roundtable.
He first met Dr. Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade. They reviewed the final preparations for the roundtable, which opens in a few hours. Their discussion focused on investment opportunities and the expected economic impact of the plan.
The President then met Sheikh Shakhbout Nahyane Al Nahyane, the UAE Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Both leaders highlighted the need to strengthen bilateral ties and expand cooperation in key sectors.
These meetings come as Chad seeks new partners to accelerate infrastructure, energy access, and economic growth under its National Development Plan.
