Authorities have confirmed the discovery of the body of Paul Ferreri, 70, from Côte-d’Or, France, near the Bachiguerie tourist camp.
Search teams located the body in a rocky area after two days of operations involving local authorities and security forces.
The Ministry of Tourism said the circumstances “may indicate a fall.” Judicial and medical authorities have opened an investigation to determine the exact cause of death.
Chadian officials are working closely with the French Embassy in N’Djamena.
