The government introduced a moratorium until 2030 on fees for supplemental birth certificates.

Children aged 4 months to 17 years whose births were not officially recorded can now be legally recognized free of charge.

Supplemental birth certificates are court-issued documents for unregistered children. They give children access to education, healthcare, and legal protection.

Parents and guardians should register their children at local civil registry offices while the fee waiver lasts.

Authorities say the initiative aims to ensure that all children receive legal recognition and protection without placing a financial burden on families.
