President Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno returned to N’Djaména this afternoon from Nairobi, Kenya.
He attended the Africa Forward Summit and the 4th Summit of the Congo Basin Climate Commission. During the meetings, the President reaffirmed Chad’s supports for African action on climate change, protecting the environment, and working together on security and development.
He also called for fairer climate funding for African countries, especially in the Sahel and Lake Chad Basin.

On arrival, he was welcomed by Prime Minister Amb. Allah-Maye Halina and other government and military officials.
