Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mahamat Saleh Annadif has denied comments circulating on social media about the Chinese distinction awarded to Prime Minister Allamaye Halina.
In a statement shared with the press, Annadif called the remarks “outrageously false” and said he never made such comments.
“Those who know me are aware that I reject slander, defamation and insult,” he said while condemning the spread of false information in his name.
Annadif also reaffirmed his respect for Chadian diplomats who serve the country and for international partners who show their consideration through such distinctions.
The clarification comes as online debate continues over the distinction granted to the Chadian prime minister by Chinese authorities.
