The Miss Cameroon Organizing Committee (Comica) has removed Josiane Harangada Golonga from her title, citing repeated breaches of her contractual obligations.
In a statement dated February 25, the committee accused Golonga of missing several major official events, making remarks deemed disrespectful to the institution, unilaterally suspending activities tied to her mandate, and hiring a personal manager in violation of contract terms.
Comica said it issued multiple warnings and a final notice before taking action.

The committee revoked all rights, privileges, and benefits associated with the Miss Cameroon 2025 title.
First runner-up Audrey Moutongo is expected to assume the role and continue the mandate.
Golonga disputes the allegations. According to a letter reportedly issued through a judicial officer, she claims she is owed two months’ salary and requests the return of her official vehicle.
She also denies abandoning her duties or violating contract terms.
Comica emphasized that the final notice required Golonga to report to its offices within five days, warning that failure to do so would be considered a resignation.
