President Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno has raised concerns over sanitary conditions at the School for Children of Troops in N’Djamena.
Speaking during an inspection visit ahead of the 2026–2027 school year, the President said he had observed “many shortcomings”, particularly in sanitation.

He instructed the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces to take the necessary measures to address the issues identified at the school.
He later called on Chadians at home and abroad to contribute to the rehabilitation and equipment of public schools, describing it as a collective effort to support national education.
